About the Mini Octopus

With small ‘cars’ that can seat two people, you’ll enjoy spinning around and swooping up and down. This ride is suitable for children up to 1.3m tall. Adults can’t fit in the ride but can watch from the side.

Who can ride, and what does it cost?

You’ll need 1 new 2022 token to ride. The Mini Octopus is suitable for children up to 1.3m. 

A brief history of the mini octopus

We bought the Mini Octopus from a preservationist in 2008. It’s a children’s version of the popular Giant Octopus ride, and it’s believed to have been built by Coulson in the 50s or 60s. It has been through a thorough restoration, including new cars and a new fascia painted to match the paintwork on the Giant Octopus, which was originally painted by celebrated fairground artists Hall & Fowle.
