Test your aim on the Archery stall! Archery is one of the oldest sports in the British Isles, and has long been played for fun to test the players' aim and concentration. It has been a game on funfairs for many years too – often showmen used gripping scenic painting to excite the public into believing themselves to be the next William Tell or Robin Hood! Our Archery stall is Wild West-themed, with Native Americans painted by Anna Carter.
We purchased the Archery stall from showman Peter Fleet, who had travelled it with Carters for a number of years; his father had been a tenant of Carters Steam Fair before him.
