Course details
What will you learn on the course?
One of our most frequently asked questions is about preparing surfaces for professional results. In this one day course, Joby will be sharing all of the tips and tricks he has learned throughout his career which will help you achieve premium results while avoiding simple mistakes which can be costly in terms of time and materials. In addition to preparing surfaces, you’ll also learn how to apply the paint and rub down in between coats to get your results looking as fantastic as they can be with a glass finish.
Who is this course for?
This course is ideal for someone that has a vintage vehicle or project that wants to paint it in the way that it would have been painted when original or someone who wants to hand paint their signs rather than roll it or spray the background.
When and where is the course?
Sunday 18 June 2023, 9am – 5pm in the workshop at the Carters Steam Fair yard at White Waltham in Maidenhead which is a live working yard – you’ll be able to see the current signwriting and fairground art projects that are being worked on by Joby and the team. Throughout the day you’ll have access to lots of paint and materials that you’ll need, and lunch will be provided. We encourage you to forget about modern computers, roll up your sleeves and get painty.
Please note these courses are very popular. To secure your place you need to book and pay the full fee. The courses hold a maximum of 15 people, and we work on a first-come, first-served basis. Click here for our Refunds Policy.
