1939 BRISTOL BUS

Built in 1939 and operated by Bristol Tramways & Carriage Company, this pretty half-cab bus has been through several transformations since it was new, including a new body in 1957. It came out of service in Bristol in 1961.

We became aware of it when the man who was putting up posters for the fair one day spotted it in someone's garden, and he knocked on the door and enquired about it. Seth and Joby (then in their teens) decided they would buy it together and make it their home.

The bus travelled with the fair for a number of years, and is currently awaiting restoration.
