The Autodrome was built by the Langwheels company in 1947. An exciting and racy driving ride, it gives every backseat driver the opportunity to feel in control of the wheel. The Autodrome gives parents and children the opportunity to drive together – and it is the hills that give it a thrill!
This Autodrome was built for the Harvey family, who had owned and run it until Seth Carter purchased it. Seth has overhauled and painted it and got it back into smooth running order. All the original invoices and purchase information still survives with it, and it is a beautiful example of a much loved children's ride.
Who can ride, and what does it cost?

If you are interested in hiring the Autodrome, please click here for more information. The Autodrome measures approximately 28 feet in diameter. Please be aware that you will need a good level ground and clear enough access to get an articulated lorry on to the site (any gate must be minimum of 10 feet wide). It runs on electricity, which we can generate with one of our lorry-mounted sets if necessary.
